Why Meridian

An expert who runs your program, not a once-a-year vendor

The experience behind your program

Your program is in proven hands

Meridian was founded by a Health Physicist with more than 20 years keeping radiation safety programs inspection-ready, in hospitals, in medical imaging, and in research facilities. That same expert personally reviews and manages your program, so your clinic's compliance is in proven hands, actively managed as a program, not filed away as paperwork.

โ˜…

Deep credentials, not a generalist

Built by someone who has run radiation safety at the hospital level and led radiological emergency response, not a generalist compliance shop.

๐Ÿ“‹

Regulatory expertise

We know the radiation safety regulations, the inspectors, and the violations they cite. Your program is built around the rules that apply to your clinic, not a generic template.

๐Ÿ”„

Year-round, not annual

The big firms appear once for the physics survey and disappear. We stay with your program every month, the other 51 weeks are covered.

๐Ÿค

Compliance + training, one source

One accountable expert who manages your program and trains your people, and who actually answers the phone.

The expert behind your program
Alan Atabay, Founder of Meridian Radiation

Alan Atabay

Founder, Meridian Radiation, LLC

I know what an inspector opens first. And what they find when they do.

For more than twenty years I have run radiation safety programs where getting it wrong was not an option, in hospitals, in medical imaging, and in research facilities. I managed more than 140 medical X-ray systems under a single program. I managed operations under broad scope and research and development Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licenses.

Different authorities. Different frameworks. The same discipline underneath.

I have been inspected, and I have conducted radiation safety program inspections. I have seen both sides of the clipboard. I have taught the certification program for Radiation Safety Officers, certifying more than 200 of them. Not just how to pass an inspection. How to build and run a program from the ground up.

Here is the problem I kept running into.

A large hospital system has a full-time Radiation Safety Officer, a Health Physicist on call, and a compliance department standing behind all of it. An independent imaging clinic is held to exactly the same rules, with none of that support. Same regulations. Same inspectors. Same consequences. No backup.

That gap is why Meridian exists.
